My Top 25 (this is for you Nick)

Inspired by my friend Nick, here are my Top 25 Female Celebrities. Talent is not a requirement for this list but as you'll see, appearing in geeky movies and on geeky shows helps out a great deal!

26 (Cheating I know!) - Hilary Swank

To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of Hilary Swank. This pick was a necessity simply because during a special episode of The Office I sided with the "Hot" group while Brad and John sided with the "Not" group. If I didn't pick her, I would be a hypocrite.

25 - Emmy Rossum

Emmy, Emmy, Emmy. I'll admit, part of my infatuation with her is simply because she has the same name as one of my ex-girlfriends. However, Emmy is so much more than that. She was phenomenal as Christine Daae in The Phantom of the Opera. With a voice that soared above those of her costars, she was one of the few redeeming aspects of the movie.

24 - Freema Agyemon

The first Doctor Who companion on this list, Freema played the sweet Martha Jones in Season 3: a woman who helped make the Doctor more human in his outlook, but couldn't help falling in love with him at the same time. During her tenure on the show, I couldn't help falling in love with her either. Freema didn't generate a ton of popularity and she could've given up acting after the producers decided to bring in someone different for Season 4, but she didn't. Freema kept going to auditions and recently landed a role in a British adaptation of the popular U.S. show Law and Order.

23 - Lea Michele

Glee, Spring Awakening, gorgeous. Enough said.

22 - Grace Park

Grace has a long history of playing hot girls in geeky shows. She's had roles on fan favorites such as Dark Angel, Andromeda, and The Dead Zone, but it was her role as Lt. Sharon Valerii on Battlestar Galactica that really got me going. I felt so bad for her conflicted Cylon heart. Plus I thought that it was awesome to see an actress of Korean heritage in such a prominent role on television.

21 - Sutton Foster

Sutton burst onto the scene playing the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie. She won a Tony award for Best Actress for this role, and went on to perform in other great musicals such as Little Women and Shrek: The Musical, scoring even more Tony noms. for those roles.

20 - Eva Mendes

Gorgeous body, smokin face. Eva also gets props for appearing in some incredibly geeky films, Ghost Rider and the critically underrated The Spirit. Not a great actress, but certainly great eye candy.

19 - Sara Ramirez

Sara is on my list for two big reasons. First, she was the frickin Lady of the Lake in Monty Python's Spamalot and she was absolutely amazing, winning a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress. Second, she's never been concerned about being seen as a "full figured" actress, which needs to be recognized. Way to go Sara!

18 - Layla Kayleigh

The first of a few G4 hosts on this list, Layla first came onto the scene as the host of The Feed segment during episodes of Attack of the Show. She also co-hosts one of my favorite reality shows America's Best Dance Crew (go Beat Freaks!). To be honest, she's not that talented. This placement is only because she is smokin.

17 - Bridget Marquardt

While I've always been a fan of The Girls Next Door, Bridget was the only girl that I was a fan of as an individual. She seems to be genuinely nice, very intelligent, and oh yeah...there's the fact that she's a Playmate. It's too bad that her new show is only on the travel channel. She deserves much better.

16 - Jessica Alba

Skinny little Nancy Callahan. She grew up. She filled out. That quote perfectly describes Jessica's transformation (in my mind) from the cute new girl on the show Dark Angel to the sexy, beautiful woman in Sin City. Jessica may have made many bad career choices (The Love Guru, anyone?) but her trips into the geek kingdom have been incredible.

15 - Kate Winslet

Kate made an impact on me the moment I saw her. Of course, the reason for that is because like so many others I first saw her in Titanic when I was a pubescent young man. That's not the only reason why I like her though. She's also a phenomenal actress, deserving more Oscars than she's won. Kate has given an amazing performance in every film of hers I've seen: Titanic, Iris, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Finding Neverland, and The Reader. Thank goodness, she finally won her Oscar for the latter. It was long overdue.

14 - Rosario Dawson

Rosario is willing to tackle any role given to her, no matter how weird or quirky. She's done everything from singing her heart out in the movie Rent, to mixing sex and killing in Sin City, to showing us her funny side in the comedy Clerks II. Not to mention she looks good in absolutely anything she wears. And oh yeah, according to a mistaken FOX analyst she caught the game winning touchdown in the Carolina Panthers' season opener. How much more bangin can you get?

13 - Logan Tom

Freaking jock goddess with an incredible body. Tom has played volleyball for the U.S. Women's Indoor Team since she was 16, winning a silver medal, the Grand Prix, and the NORCECA Championships with them. Tom played collegiately at Stanford, where she won a NCAA Championship as well as the tournament MVP Award. Currently, Tom is playing professionally in Japan.

12 - Anne Hathaway

Anne first caught my eye in the amazing comedy The Devil Wears Prada (ugh, I can hear your comment from here Nick, lol). Since then she has continued to wow me with her red-carpet prowess and her amazing turns in films like Get Smart and her appearance as a host on Saturday Night Live. Gifted with beautiflu porcelain skin, Anne has never tried to tan herself or bleach her hair to fit with more conventional Hollywood beauties but has owned every ounce of her body.

11 - Sarah Palin

Say what you will about her questionable policies (*shifty eyes towards my sister and brother-in-law*) Palin is 100% cougar. She started a fashion trend with her trademark glasses and hairstyle, and she looks damn good in knee-high boots. Not only is she gorgeous but she has given us a beautiful daughter, who is already doing her part to provide the world with gorgeous descendants.

10- Heather Headley

I have to start this off by saying: she went to my high school!!! One of the best singers to ever hit Broadway, Headley made a name for herself playing difficult roles in big musicals such as The Lion King and Aida, winning a Best Actress Tony for the latter. I got to see one of her last performances as Aida and it was one of the best nights of my life.

9 - Zooey Deschanel

When I first saw Zooey in the film Elf, I thought she was okay. Cute, but nothing to write home about. But when it got to the shower sing and she uttered the first note of "Baby It's Cold Outside" I nearly fell out of my chair. Zooey has an amazing tone to her voice: old and nostalgic, yet unique and modern at the same time. Her collaboration with M. Ward as part of She and Him earned her a spot on this list.

8 - Sophia Myles

I've got two words for you: Doctor Who. Sophia appeared in one, count it, one episode of Doctor Who as the Madam Pompadour and gave such a strong performance that it earned her the 8th place on my list. I don't care about Tristan and Isolde, Moonlight, or anything else she's done. I haven't seen it. She was amazing on the show and I grieved for her when she couldn't have one last meeting with the Doctor before her untimely demise (not a spoiler because it's history).

7 - Morgan Webb

When I got my first apartment with my brother and Phil, I ended up moving in a couple weeks after them because I was working at home for the summer. One of my first memories upon walking into our mancave was them turning on the television in order to show me this magica new channel, G4TV. The first thing I saw when they turned it on was Morgan's beautiful face co-hosting the show X-Play. With witty dialogue and sharp sarcasm, Morgan delivers great coverage on all things involving video games. The second G4 host on this list, Morgan has a special place in the hearts of many fanboys.

6 - Zoe Saldana

Zoe is high on my list for a couple of reasons. Number one, her first big movie, Guess Who, is pretty much the life story of two of my favorite people (Annika and Trevor) and everytime I see Zoe I'm reminded of how much better Annika made people's lives. Second, she manages to hold her own against two strong male performances in the movie Star Trek. Not only does she stand her ground, but she even manages to stand out against Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto. Oh yeah, did I mention that she's also gorgeous?

5 - Sarah Chalke

Playing the role of Dr. Eliott Reed on Scrubs, Sarah Chalke manages to make neuroticism incredibly sexy and appealing. Plus, anyone who can salvage their career after appearing on Rosanne gets major props from me.

4 - Carrie Underwood

I'll be honest. When Carrie first appeared on the fourth season of American Idol I was not a fan. But after she delivered a fierce performance of Heart's "Alone" in the Top 11, I knew I had just witnessed something magical and I lost my heart right then. The second greates Idol ever (after the indescribable Kelly Clarkson), Carrie also has the looks to knock you off your feet. Here's to many, many years of seeing her in the music business.

3 - Megan Fox

I actually fell in love with Megan long before her rise to fame in the film Transformers. The first time I ever saw her she was playing the role of catty, conniving Carla in the Lindsey Lohan film Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Megan's eyes seem to blaze through the screen and look into your soul. She would have been higher on this list but I'm not into tattoos and recently she has plastered her body with them.

2 - Billie Piper

Coming in at #2 is the first and greatest of the new Doctor's companions on Doctor Who, Billie Piper. Billie had a short-lived pop music career as a teen, but it was her role as Rose Tyler on Doctor Who which thrust her into the spotlight and made her a household name in Britain. Rose was the first face we saw after years and years without Doctor Who and as soon as I saw her smiling face, I knew the show was going to do well. Since leaving the show, Billie has landed high profile roles both in Britain and the United States, playing the lead role of Sally Lockhart in The Ruby in the Smoke and Bell/Hannah in Showtime's Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She melts my heart, and I cried when she and the Doctor said goodbye during her last episode as a main character. Thank goodness they finally brought her back in Season 4!

1 - Olivia Munn

Wow. The co-host of G4TV's Attack of the Show, Munn has done everything her fans ask of her. Competing on Ninja Warrior, donning geek fantasy costumes, jumping into a giant pie. What to say about Olivia? She is simply phenomenal. Drop dead gorgeous, a spunky personality, and knowledge of all things geek? You can't get any better. Every time I watch AOTS I feel my legs get weak and my stomach turns backflips!

Honorable Mention

Becki Newton - Amanda Tannen on Ugly Betty, she's my favorite part of the show.

Kristin Holt - Host of G4TV's The Cheat, she also makes guest appearances on their shows. She made her television debut on a popular reality show. Bonus points if you can tell me which one.

Rachel Bilson - dated the geeky guy on The OC, so she won me over without much effort. Also in another favorite of mine, Jumper.

Kristen Stewart - cracked me up in Adventureland. She was absolutely terrible in Twilight, but she looks like an ex I'm a little stuck on so she gets points for that.
